Lens-Artists Photo Challenge — Trees

Hi all, this is my first time posting for the photo challenge. I thought I’d start off with one that’s quite straight forward so opted for this week’s one entitled Trees. I often find that although not always the subject of a particular photo, they can form a very useful, natural picture frame (as seen in some of my pictures).

Starting off with the only famous tree I know: the following three images are of the remains of the tree from the 1981 coming-of-age romantic comedy, Gregory’s Girl. You can find the tree in Cumbernauld House Park (my local park 😋).

Here are some more pictures from the same park.

The next set of photos are from Palacerigg Country Park. They were taken in the autumn and winter.

The Glasgow Botanic Gardens have a wide variety of trees from around the globe, particularly in Kibble Palace.

And now some random trees from my travels (could have gone crazy with pics, but decided to keep the number down😁).

Finally, a different type of tree — a mug tree 🤪 I hope you enjoyed.

  6. Welcome to the challenge! You must be a tree lover as well – I usually recognize it when I see one…! Some lovely galleries with variety and joy. I had never heard about that famous tree, but thank you for posting on it – even the remains of the original tree looks grand. You do have wonderful parks in Scotland, and now I got some more tips on which to visit. The mug tree made me smile!
