Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how to).
This week’s Fan Of… is Orchids; or as they are called in Scots, balderrie. The spotted ones are called puddock’s spindle (great name 😄)! These shots were all taken during a recent visit to the Glasgow Botanic Gardens with my wife.

Well
Done on this awesome flower – and the challenge sounds fun- I am in an off blogging mode right now but will try and join in later this winter
Look forward to you joining in when you can 😁
I love orchids….I have tried growing a few here in Tas….our house is really cold and not insulated so I tend to lose them in winter….except one!
Wow … all of them seem to have faces 🙂

Some of them look otherworldly 😁
Lol … yeah I saw one once that almost had the face of the creature from “Predator” movie

I can’t help it – I see faces of aliens when I look at orchids! That’s a gorgeous collection, though.
I’m not really sure whether my shots really qualify for “I’m a fan of …” – It’s a rather reluctant fandom: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/11/18/im-a-fan-of-power-cables/
Stunningly beautiful orchids.
Here is my entry for the week.

I love orchids too. There’s something otherworldly about them. The endless variations make each blossom an amazing find. A photographer couldn’t ask for better subjects. Kudos, Jez!
Thanks, Russell 😁 Some of them look kinda prehistoric to me!
