Learning to Fly — Lens-Artists Challenge #144

Hi all πŸ˜ƒ My entry for this weeks challenge, set by Tina: Taking Flight.

Originally my post was going to be titled “Floating not Flying” & feature this pair of mallards having an early morning paddle on the Forth & Clyde Canal.

Mallards on the Fourth & Clyde Canal

However, on my way back from the canal, I passed by Cumbernauld Airport where a trainee helicopter pilot was being put through their paces; & that is now my post.

There were quite a few seagulls enjoying the sunny morning!

…and finally, what better accompaniment than Pink Floyd 🀘

  1. What great timing you had to catch the helicopter training session Jez. I’ve never seen a contraption like that heli on a pole! Hard to believe it could support the weight on a single pole! From your images it looks like the student pilot still has some work to do LOL.
