Squirrel Bench — Lens-Artists Challenge #146

Hi all 😃 My entry for this weeks challenge, set by Patti: Focusing on the details.

These benches are in Kibble Palace in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens. At a casual glance they appear ro be wrought iron benches with wooden slats; looking closer, they have squirrels in the armrests.

…and here’s an actual squirrel, on a bench 😂

This Iron footbridge crosses the River Kelvin, just by the Botanic Gardens. As you head down the path towards it, you can’t really see the detail, it’s only once you get closer that you get to enjoy the craftmanship that went into it’s construction.

This last shot is focusing through the metalwork at the water rushing below.

  1. A fun and interesting take on the challenge Jez. The ironwork squirrels are marvelous and you’re so right, we seldom focus on wonderful details like those. LOL for the addition of the little live squirrel

  2. I love how you approached this subject, Jez. Your images keep circling back and adding more details. Lovely. And the real squirrel was a great bonus!
