Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).
This week’s Fan Of… The Kelpies.
The Kelpies (☜ click here for more info) are the largest equine sculptures in the world & are modelled on two workhorses of times gone by, Duke & Baron, representing the lineage of the heavy horse that were key to Scotland’s industrial success. The Kelpies sit at the eastern end of the Forth & Clyde Canal & are well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
Join me again next week for some Lensy views of the Kelpies 😃

I love the Kelpies and have not seen their surroundings before nor the close up details.
Their construction is fascinating; you can do a tour inside of them, but they’re not running at the moment 😩
They are on my bucket list. I have a cousin who spend summers in Perthshire. Maybe I could visit her and see a bit of Scotland.
Well worth doing, there’s so much to see & do. Also down by the Fourth & Clyde Canal, there are a lot of stables, so plenty of horses out & about in the fields 😃
I’m astounded.
They’re pretty amazing 😃
I wish I had known about the kelpies when I was in Edinburgh, I would have gladly forgone my city tour (we only had a day) for a view of them! They are marvellous and you captured them beautifully.
My fanatical post of the week is here: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/05/24/im-a-fan-of-climbing-wall-animals/
Thanks, Elke 😊 I’m sure they’ll still be here when you next visit!
Nice information 🤠
