Hi all 😃 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by André of Solaner: Summer Vibes.
Looks like summer, but looks can be deceiving; these following shots were all taken a few years ago when my wife & I were staying in Malibu & Santa Monica. We were there in February, although it looks like summer.
Summer here means lots of green…
As well as lots of flowers for the butterflies & bees.
Summer is bright blue skies & yellow sands; we’re fortunate to have much quieter beaches 😁
For us, it’s getting out & about on our bikes…
…in all weathers ☔️

The first batch of beach photos does look like summer. If it’s a day with good weather like that, I like going to the beach in winter too. Beautiful views but with much smaller crowds, as long as the wind’s not too brutal, haha.
I enjoy wind down at the beach, gives the legs & feet a good sand blasting 😊
Coastal California is beautiful most all of the seasons Jez – you captured the spirit of summer for sure, if not the actual timeframe! but I have to laugh because my favorite is the image of the footprint – does that mean I’m weird?!?!
