Hi All 👋 Today’s Fan Of… is my iMac workhorse, called Darth. As mentioned in my Fan Of… #5, this boy is also a factory refurbishment. A quick note on his vitals; he is a 27-inch iMac with a 5K Retina display (the monitor is the computer). Darth runs a 3.3GHz Intel Core i5 processor, with a Mac hard disk (1TB Sata Disk). He has 8GB of memory expandable to 16GB and a @GB AMD Radeon Graphics card.
Put all those specs together and he is more than capable of dealing with photo editing, whilst I’m writing blog posts and listening to Apple Music; usually Disturbed, it’s oddly good for working to.
As to being a refurb; Darth was bought from the Apple Refurbishment Store. When he’d gone back to factory, he was fixed, tweaked and upgraded. I got all the specs mentioned above for approx 75% of new price
