Sky on fire! In German, they say: colourful sunrise –> bad weather, colourful sunset –> beautiful weather the next day. Is that the same in Scotland? I don’t know if it’s true, as I’ve stated before: it’s years that I actually experienced a sunrise, certainly I wouldn’t be alert enough to grab a camera…

We have a rhyme for it — Red sky at night, shepherds delight, red sky in the morning, shepherd warning; so basically the same idea as yours. For the most part it seems to be mostly true & I think the phenomena is to do with refraction of light through moisture in the air; the more moisture, the greater the refraction & the greater the chance of bad weather.

I love the variety Jez. That sunset is a wow and of course the Chrysanthemum is the worst of the best of the Last Photos. Thanks for joining in my Scots mate 🙂 🙂
