Hi All 👋 My entry for Debbie’s Six Word Saturday.

We participated in No Mow May, an annual event run by Plantlife. Basically, you don’t mow your lawn in May to allow flowers & weeds to grow, providing plenty of food for pollinators. This also worked for us as we were away at various times during the month.
In the gallery below, the first is a before shot.
When I cut the grass, I left a patch at the end to continue to grow, as this is where the orange hawkweed thrives.
I like it and good for you. In Arizona, we don’t have to worry about that, at least most of us don’t. Some people do have grass, but we don’t mow cacti. ?
That would be pretty painful ?
Well done!
Thank you ?
A fabulous initiative. My neighbours are enthralled when I leave the front of my place go. One year I had Paper Daisies pop up
Wow, I’ve never seen those!!! It’s fantastic what nature springs up when left to her own devices ?
Here is the life of a Paper Daisy FYI

What an amazing wee flower; thanks for the link, Brian ?
I bet it is time ?
Took a while ?
Same here. My husband used the first dry 2 days in a row to roll out the mower.
It was our first couple of dry days as well!!!
Interesting concept ..no mow month!
