As promised, my Historic Scotland Series is featuring the Poetâs Path, another National Trust for Scotland treasure, as my latest Fan Of⌠post.
The Poetsâ Path is a scenic pedestrian path that joins Rabbie Burnsâ Cottage to the Burnsâ Birthplace Museum. Along the way, you can spot creative ironwork signage crafted by Timorous Beasties, celebrating scenes from Burnsâ Tam oâ Shanter, & seasonal plantings. For more info, visit National Trust Scotland.
As you wander around, keep an eye out for some fantastic Burns-inspired artworks. Check out Kenny Hunterâs not-so-little cast iron mouse (Susan for scale) and, a bit further down, Jake Harveyâs oversized granite haggis. Donât forget to take a break on our newest sculpture, The Twa Dogs, created by artist Sally Matthews!
Next week will be the Burnâs Birthplace Museum.
