Hi All ๐ My latest for Cee’s FOTD.

Hi All ๐ My entry for Debbie’s OWS: Three.

…and finally 3 x 3 ducklings!

Hi All ๐ My entry for this weeks LAPC set by Amy.
I’d not come across the concept of negative space, but have a apparently been using it in some of my photography all along.
In Amy’s second pic, she shows a brilliant example of using a wide aperture to blur the background & create negative space around the subject; a technique I am a fan of.

These raindrops (I had to get some in somewhere) on a web were shot against the sky to create an impression of them almost floating in space.

I like to use nagative space to surround monuments & memorials to heighten their impact.

These are soem more instances where I have used negative space to highlight the subject.

Hi All ๐ Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how to).
This week’s Fan Of… is my new Kobo nia.
After many years of being Kindle owners, my wife & I have made the decision to move over to Kobo for our e-reading. Our Kindle Fires, which were more of a tablet than just a reading device, were starting to need recharging every couple of days. We looked at the Kindle Paperwhites but decided that they were quite expensive for what they are (2-3 x the cost of the Kobo). There also look to be some very good deals on books with Kobo, & you earn points every time you buy a book, which adds up to money off future purchases; so, Kobo it is.
