Hi All 👋 My latest post for Susan’s Digital Art Challenge: A High-Tec Gadget’s First Use.
My first go at this was to use a picture of a light fixture in our house & use the prompt to turn it into a malfunctioning, first-time-use gadget.
The prompt was to basically have the gadget suspended in a warehouse, destroying itself whilst onlookers ran for cover.
I liked these, so I decided to change the setting to a Victorian-era warehouse.

This Japanese Maple can be found in the Burn’s Memorial Garden, adding a touch of serenity to the surroundings
As with my latest Fan Of… post (see link), I’m exploring some DALL-E AI preset styles for my edits.
Today, I’ve done a pointillism-style transformation. As well as redrawing the maple in the pointillism style, it has placed the tree in a calming setting, much like in the Burn’s Memorial Gardens, where you are surrounded by trees, flowers & shade, with wee pathways meandering through it

We’re in Ayr for the next series of WWE, starting with the River Doon. The river runs through Alloway, the birthplace of the renowned Scottish poet Rabbie Burns. It features in his famous poem “Tam o’ Shanter” & is the setting for his lesser-known “The Banks O’ Doon.”
