Fan of… #49 — Historical Models

Hi all ๐Ÿ˜ Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan ofโ€ฆ” (see below for how to).

This week’s Fan Ofโ€ฆ historical models. You’ll have seen from a lot of my other posts that my wife & I enjoy visiting historically significant sites. One of my favourite aspects of these places is the historically correct models on display that give a great idea of how things looked and worked. These can be most beneficial when visiting houses that have undergone many transformations, or visiting ruins.

Tuesday Photo Challenge — Focus

Hi all ๐Ÿ˜ My entry for Frank’s Dutch Goes the Photo! challenge: Focus

My first couple of shots are through the same grill set in a wooden door in one of the rooms within the ruins of Arbroath Abbey. The first focuses on the wall beyond the door, the second on the bars themselves; flaking paint and cobwebs included.
