Bokeh — Lens-Artists #194

Hi all ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My entry for this weeks LAPC set by Sofia: Bokeh.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’d never really come across this term & was generally just happy to have a soft background to provide focus on the true subject. I haven’t always actively sought bokeh & it has been a happy by product of a shot; that was until I got my macro lens & concentrated on this effect more ๐Ÿ˜

Hi all ๐Ÿ˜ Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking, “I’m a fan ofโ€ฆ” (see below for how-to).

This weeks Fan Of… is canal bridges. These tend to be small in extent but are vital to keep both road & canal traffic flowing. This is aslo my entry for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Bridges.

Working Horse Sculpture — PPAC #26

Hi all ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My entry for the Marsha & Cee’s Photographing Public Art Challenge, hosted this week by Marsha.

This sculpture of a working horse & handler can be found at the Falkirk Wheel. Working horses were key to industry back in the day & towed the barges along the canal, before they became motorised.
