The Templeton Building started out life as a carpet factory. Construction began in 1888 and was completed in 1892. It was constructed for James Templeton and Son for the manufacture of their patented spool Axminster Carpets.
It was in use as a carpet factory until 1984 when it was converted into a business centre. It underwent a major regeneration project in 2005, and became a multi-purpose building housing apartments, office space and the West brewery bar & restaurant.
Inspired by Brashley’s awesome image, I decided to have a go at creating some of my own using the symmetry function in FX Photo Studio Pro and some Glasgow landmarks, as well as some plants from the Glasgow Botanical Gardens. I got a bit carried away and couldn’t decide which one to post, so here they all are 😁
My wife & I headed into Glasgow so that I could top up my library for various challenges and I came back with approx 300 shots; these are some that I took from the viewing platform at the top of the Mackintosh Tower, part of The Lighthouse in Glasgow.
