Again, I’ve done some cumulative transformations based on the Scots Baronial-style architecture. This time, I started out with the irises in the foreground, a Scots Baronial-style building in the distance, all set in a coastal landscape. As I re-wrote the prompt, I changed the setting to a more formal house at the coast, added in a stormy night & finally the addition of rain falling & dripping off the irises… enjoy

This Cornus Dogwood is also known as the Chinese dogwood, Korean dogwood & Japanese dogwood. As you can tell from the name, it is native to East Asia & is generally cultivated for ornamental use. This particular one can be found in the grounds of Rabbie Burns’ Cottage
