Hidden in the Woods — Spies, Lies & Digital Skies

Hi All 👋 My latest post for Susan’s Digital Art Challenge: Hidden Safe House.

Okay, so this one became a bit of an epic as one idea led to another. I ended up with three different scenarios, & thus, three different baseline images.

I’m starting out with the safe house in a wood scenario. The following is a photo from an old WWII military site at Elie, Fife.

    Abstracts — Lens-Artists Challenge #296

Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Ritva.

This is an interesting challenge; I’ve never really dabbled in the world of abstract, so here we go.

My first group could fit in a “what is it?” category of abstract.

This first shot looks like an alien forest; it’s a macro shot of dew on moss.

I did a Mannerism-style transformation for this picture (for a wee bit more on Mannerism, see my latest FOTD), and then, keeping the Mannerism-style, re-imagined it as a light & ethereal watercolour.

This time, Lensy’s getting more of the Hot Mods treatment.

Again, I’ve been really busy with work & had minimal downtime, so I’m playing around with some new pre-set styles in DALL-E.

Enjoy these re-imaginings; let me know your favourite in the comments

Mystery Caller — Spies, Lies & Digital Skies

Hi All 👋 My latest post for Susan’s Digital Art Challenge: Tracing a mysterious phone call.

I thought I’d go a bit old-school with this one & had a good couple of pictures to use as a baseline.

Read on for a wee bit of art history as well!!!

    Hielan Coo & Caff

I did a couple of watercolour edits in Hot Mods. In the first, I simply told the AI to transform the scene into a watercolour, which it did really well. For the second, I specified a highland scene setting through the prompt.

Spring Flowers A Plenty — Sunday Stills

Hi All 👋 My latest entry for Terri’s Sunday Stills: Spring Flowers.

I’ve done an AI watercolour transformation for each of my shots. Most of the original shots, seen below, are close-ups. So, when edited in Hot Mods, they remain as close-ups, but often the background is removed. For some of them, I revisited the prompt to put the background back in. For some, I got a bit carried away & re-imagined the flowers in a setting that sprang to mind & fits the flowers.

    snowdrops

Starting off with some snowdrops. The watercolour came out well, but I wanted them in the wooded setting that they were originally shot in.
