Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how to).
This is also a second entry for Sunshine’s Macro Monday 😃
This week’s Fan Of… is my new Neewer 10+ Macro filter. This was part of a filter kit that I got for my standard 18-55mm Canon lens.
I was out playing with my new lensball in Cumbernauld House Park, and I sat the lensball on a mossy tree stump to get a couple of shots of Cumbernauld House itself. When I looked down into the lensball, I saw the following…
Hi all 😁 This shot of a shaver head is my entry for Sunshine’s Macro Monday.
Seeing as water drolpets seem to be a favourite with me at the moment, I had to make sure there were some in the picture 😊
Hi all 😁 Welcome to one of my random posts.
I’d gone out this morning to refill the squirrel boxes & bird feeders and saw what I thought were water droplets on the washing line. It turns out that they were actually frozen solid. Photo op I thought, so dived back inside to grab snappy and the new 10+ macro filter I’d been wanting to try.
The filter was part of a kit I’d recently bought but not yet had chance to use. The only downside to the filter is that it makes the focus function on the camera very sensitive so even the lightest breeze or camera sway can take the shot in & out of focus. On the plus side, you the detail it brings to the shot is phenomenal; you can actually see the trapped air bubbles in the ice 😲 I also took a couple of shots of some grapes once back in doors. Here are the results 😃
These are some other shots of ice in the backyard.
And the grapes!

This last one is my favourite, you can see the sky reflected in his eye.
