The photo was taken in 2010. I think the sign is a landmark and hasn’t changed over the years. The pier’s over a hundred years old and may have had a yacht harbour in the earlier days, but not any more.
Is that Santa Monica, California in the cover photograph? I lived in Los Angeles from 1999 to 2013. I don’t remember a yacht marina there. Would you recall when was that photo taken?
