Hi All 👋 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how to).

This week’s Fan Of… is Orchids; or as they are called in Scots, balderrie. The spotted ones are called puddock’s spindle (great name)! These shots were all taken during a recent visit to the Glasgow Botanic Gardens with my wife.

    Some of those (the bulbous ones) are pre-historic looking. I love them 🙂

    I love orchids….I have tried growing a few here in Tas….our house is really cold and not insulated so I tend to lose them in winter….except one!

    I can’t help it – I see faces of aliens when I look at orchids! That’s a gorgeous collection, though.
