Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how to).
This week’s Fan Of… wood, in all its forms. As a construction material it’s been used to make things from squirrel boxes, all the way up to ships, piers and buildings. The infinate variety in the grain is amazing as well as in the bark. Even charred wood has a charm all of its own.

I love the variety of grain and texture.
The boardwalk planks and the burnt wood are my favourites. 😀 I forgot the squirrel boxes looked like that.
Great shots of the different textures, Jez!
My fan subjects would agree with you: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/01/20/im-a-fan-of-blackbirds/
I love wood too! Yellow wood and Oak are some of my favourites
Yellow wood is wonderful. My husband’s pride and joy is his (huuuuge) yellow wood () desk.
I can imagine that! My father in law made us a yellow wood kist and side tables
