Branching OutLensball — Playtime #3

Hi all 😁 Branching out see’s me still in Cumbernauld House Park. Holding the lensball steady in one hand & the camera in the other is quite tricky; any movement is amplified, leading to out of focus, blurry shots. One potential solution is finding something to place the lensball on, preferably without it rolling away; & so to branches 😀

Added bonus; you get some great close-ups of the bark & lichen that the lensball is on, & inverting the picture makes it look as if the ball is defying gravity 👏 Sometimes, though, a judicious finger is required to stop the lensball disappearing (last two shots) 😂

  1. I love your idea of placing the lens ball in the trees. I was wondering if that could potentially scratch the lens ball or is it fairly hardy? I am assuming you didn’t have an issue….

    1. They are really solid, and no issues so far. I am thinking of getting a small bean bag to sit it on so I can put it on rocks, concrete or metal; so that it won’t roll off, or get scratched 😃

  2. Wonderful shots in the tree branches.. I took mine for a walk yesterday.. I’ve yet to see how they turned out but I got some funny looks while shooting hahaha 🙂
