Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how to).
This week’s Fan Of… is Holes in trees.
Whilst on my recent trek around Palacerigg Country Park (Fan Of… #79), I came across this tree with a hole through the trunk at a convenient height for me & snappy.

I, of course, decided that it might be interesting to take some shots of the open moorland through it.

I then noticed that it was probably the right size to sit lensy in (what a surprise 😂) and get a few more shots.

Lovely tree holes! Beautifully captured 😃
Thanks, Rita 😊
Some cracking trees up there. Have you seen, what I call the “Lambda Tree” as it is a perfect Lambda? And plenty other amazing ones too 😀
I don’t think I’ve seen that one, although probably will one day 😎
Really neat and creative in the tree like that! https://thankfulbylily.ca/2020/09/28/fan-of-autumn-leaves/
Nice one(s)! I can’t remember seeing complete holes like this in trees, forks yes, but not holes. I will look out for them. I like the one stuck with the lensball.
Here is my fanatical post of the week: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/09/28/im-a-fan-of-microlights-from-below/
Thanks, Elke 😊 It is rare to see a whole like that!
🙂 Yet, you found a whole hole. Holy moly!
😂
I can see you had great fun with this. Some great trunk texture there, Jez, and a perfect spot for the lens ball.

Thanks, Debbie 😊 Couldn’t resist it 😂
What is lensy ..looks intriguing?
Lensy is my pet name for my lensball. He’s a solid sphere of glass that inverts & bends the image when you look though it 😃
