Hi Appeltjie — A kelpie is a shape-changing aquatic spirit of Scottish legend. These particular ones represent the lineageof the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy. I’ll be doing a post in a couple of weeks featuring the The Kelpies with more shots of them

Aaaaa. I have come across kelpies before in stories, but they were depicted as seal-like. Did not know other animals could be kelpies too
