Hi all π Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of⦔ (see below for how-to).
This week’s Fan Ofβ¦ celebrating another anniversary with my awesome wife, Susan (β click to check out her site) — Happy Anniversary, Sweetie π
We’ve been together 24 years now, & married 18. We don’t have a car through choice & so have recently been saving like mad to get ourselves a couple of long-distance e-bikes. They arrived just over a week ago, in time for our latest anniversary, & the adventures have already started. We will be using the local canal paths to get around & explore as many of the local attractions as possible by bike.

Just a few shots of Susan with new bike at the Kelpies & Forth & Clyde Canal (Neenee (Susan’s chimp) was along for the ride as well π).

There will be quite a few canal & bike based Fan Of… posts over the coming weeks, so if you want to see more shots of the Kelpies, Lensy at the Kelpies & learn more about our bikes, I’ll see you each Monday π

Have a great week π
So happy for my favourite Scots. No wonder you weren’t too pooped after that ride. Didn’t tell me they were electric bikes π :DS
We still have to pedal to get them to go. The electric just makes the big hills easier–thank the Great Banana. Most of the time the motor is off.
π π
They make the hill back home not so much of a problem after a long day in the saddle π
Excellent π
Happy Anniversary and nice to see you out an about at the Kelpies. Also Neenee looks like a nice fellow. I have a Teddy that I got in London in 2012.He is a special London Olympics teddy and he often travels with me.
Thanks, Anne π Neenee a little lady & travels with Susan most places π
Happy Anniversary! π
Thanks, Lisa π
Congrats Jez π π Hope you two had a wonderful day out!
Thanks, Cee π & it was a great day out on the bikes π
Not a car? How do you all get around then?
We just walk everywhere. If it was further afield, we used the bus–not during COVID, though.
Aaa, you have a reliable public transport service
A lot of walking & public transport (before covid). Now, walking & our new bikes π
Happy anniversary to you both! We don’t have a car either, also by choice – your e-bikes are a great idea! π
Thanks, Ruth π The bikes are fantastic, particularly as we live on top of a hill, we can go as far as we want without worrying too much about the climb back home π
Congratulations! And yes, e-bikes are fun. I’ve had mine for exactly a year now and I’ve done 2500 km, using it whenever the weather permits. Enjoy!
Here is my fanatical post for the week: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/05/17/im-a-fan-of-nettles/
Wow, that’s impressive! We’ll have fun trying to catch up with you ππ΄ββοΈ
It’ll be faster than you think, even those little kms add up!
2500km, that’s amazing π
You will see that you’ll get to that faster than you think.
Happy Anniversary, and I love the shot of the Kelpies
Thanks, Debbie π
