Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).
This week’s Fan Of… is Lunch with a View.

On our latest bike outing, we headed down to the Forth & Clyde Canal & turned west. We had seen a viewpoint on Google Maps up in the Menzie Hills, the range of hills opposite Cumbernauld. We looked at the various cycle route maps & decided that it would be a tough climb but the views looked worth it. From the canal, we headed north & started the climb up Tak-Ma-Doon Road (cool name 😁). The total ascent was 274m (900ft) in under 2 miles, and as it turns out is a category 3 hill climb & should only be attempted by advanced hill climb cyclists; oops 🤨

Hooray for our awesome e-bikes is all we can say. We started in mist at the canal, climbed out of it & through another band of cloud before reaching the viewpoint in bright sunshine. Although early for most, it was now our lunchtime at 0900 & of course some time for photography with Lensy.
