This week’s Fan Of… is Cirrus, the high-level wispy clouds.

The invasion of the sky by these high-level wispy clouds heralds a change in the weather; generally, rain is on its way. That being said, they do add life & movement to the sky. Sometimes though, cirrus is formed by the spreading out of aircraft contrails — as seen in the first shot in the gallery below.
