Hi, Sorry it took me a while to respond, your comments had disappeared into the spam folderIn these particular shots, the lens ball’s at arms length. I typically set the lens to about 40mm (seems to work for my length of arm) & because I’m shooting one handed, tend to let the camera do most of the work in landscape mode. If I’m using a stand for Lensy or have him sat on a branch etc, the distance varies with the type of shot (do I want to show a large amount of background or just the image in the lensball). Again the aperture changes with the type of shot, do I want the background to be in focus or more blurred & so draw the eye more to the image in the lensball. I’m still learning & experimenting with what does & doesn’t work

How far away are you from lens ball typically? What’s your aperture? Those shots are so cool!
