I never heard tne name “Chinese Aster”. In Germany we call it Gerbera. It is my favorite flower. Or is it sth different?
I think they are of the same family; I’ve always known them as Gerbera as well. It was an image search that came up with an alternative name. They are definitely at the top of my favourites list as well đ
