Simple Colouring — Lens-Artists Challenge #265

Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Anne of Slow Shutter Speed.

I edited this shot of Old Edinburgh in black & white to bring out the silhouettes of the buildings more. The original shot is fine in itself, but the black & white edit makes it more interesting & draws the eye to the skyline.

Old Edinburgh

I often think that older subjects benefit from black & white editing. This gallery of shots was all taken at the Museum of Scottish Railways at Bo’ness. The black & white format highlights the textures of the old materials.

My next shots are all monochromatic; the first is a large area of sticky willy.

Rusty nail in a post

Succulent

These last two shots are actually in colour, but the lighting conditions have rendered them monochromatic.
