My Fan Of… this week is cycling in the rain with my wife, Susan, & a big patch of crocuses. This is also my post for Cee’s FOTD.

We recently got some new waterproofs, jackets & trousers & decided to give them a go with a quick ride to Cumbernauld House Park in the rain.

Whilst there, we came across this large patch of crocuses of all different colours 😃

We rounded out our wee trip with a well-deserved coffee ☕️ & cake 🍰 stop (& yes, we did sit outside 🤪).

Although we don’t mind the rain, it’s always nice to get out in the sunshine, even if it is pretty cold at this time of year 🥶

Come back next week for some more Lensy re-imaginings.

  1. I love crocus as well and this year they are popping up their heads early. We’re planning a trip to Scotland and England at the end of
April and early May. Hopefully there won’t be too much rain but we’ll come prepared. We’re going to Edinburgh and Dundee first before heading down to London to spend time with our granddaughter. Are there any places between Dundee and London that you think we should stop off for a couple of nights? Carol

    1. Hi Carol, it sounds like you’re in for a fun trip. The first place that springs to mind is the historic town of York. I loved going there when I was growing up in North Yorkshire, but haven’t been there in many years. If you’re after some great scenery, then Keswick in the Lake District is well worth a visit. If I think of anymore, I’ll let you know 😃

      1. Thanks Jez. We’re travelling by train while in the UK so that is a major consideration. I checked out Keswick and it does look lovely.

Great to hear your thoughts 😃
