      Possibly a hover fly? A normal fly donning a yellow-black striped pyjama to scare the heebeejeebees out of other insects, birds, and humans.

        True, the legs looked a bit long for a Hover Fly.
        I have lots here at the moment. Heard lots of loud buzzing and saw around 20 just hanging around, no flowers or anything just hovering
