The name is definitely unique
They are known as “Indian touch-me-nots” in German because they are related to those forest growing plants that we liked to touch as children: when ripe, the seeds jump. They are considered an invasive species but I reckon they must be around longer in the UK if you have such charming common names for them.
I like the name!
