Hi All 👋 My latest post for Cee’s FOTD.

Impatiens glandulifera is also known as Himalayan balsam or Policeman’s helmet & is native to the Himalayas. It won the dubious award of Alien of the Year in 2018

    I found out about their name only recently. Did you see my monochrome on Wed –> https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2024/09/24/policemans-helmet-exploded/ Sorry for the shameless self-promotion. I knew the species from sight, they are called “Indian jumping herb” and I only made the connection to the ordinary, smaller, European touch-me-not when I went out actively looking for the seeds. It was fun.
