Hi, allIf you’ve seen my Kalkhoff E-Bikes — Fan Of… #115 post, you’ll know that my wife & I recently got these bikes & are using them to explore the local area. As I’ll be taking plenty of photographs on the trips, I thought I’d share some of these with you
This week’s ride turned out to be a bit longer than anticipated; well, we knew the distance, but you can’t really get a feel for topography off 2D maps without contour linesThe end result was 73km (46 miles) & plenty of hillsWe headed out to Bo’ness & back using a mixture of canal paths, National Cycle Routes (NCR) & normal roads. Today was more about seeing how far we were comfortable going in one day, so not so many snaps.
Down at the Forth & Clyde Canal, it was still early & mist was sitting over the water’s surface.

Hi All ๐ Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan ofโฆ” (see below for how-to).
This week’s Fan Ofโฆ Our Kalkhoff e-bikes which are totally awesome & have changed our lives.
My wife & I are just entering our 10th year without a car & couldn’t be happier about it. Up until last year, we went everywhere by public transport or on foot. Last year, with the pandemic, came major travel restrictions, especially so on public transport. As restrictions have started to lift, we are still not overjoyed by the prospect of sitting in an enclosed space with others to travel & have become confined to where ever we can get to on foot.
Until last month, that is, when we took delivery of our 2 new Kalkhoff Agattu 1.S XXL e-bikes (the shot below was taken the day after we got them) & we couldn’t be happier with them
