This week’s Fan Of.. is Swans #2. Recent workload & poor weather have meant no chance for photography outings, so I’m delving into my archive for my Fan Of… series. This week I’m concentrating on cygnets & juveniles from various places we’ve visited on our bikes. Come back next week for some more swan close-ups

    Being Seen — Fan Of… #138

Hi All 👋 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking, “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).

Owing to it being silly season at work for the next 3 weeks, I will be taking a short break from WWE & Fan Of… Both will return on the 3rd January 2022.

Until then, take care, stay safe, happy Yule & have a great New Year

This weeks Fan Of.. is being seen whilst out on our bikes. We go everywhere on our bikes, even at this time of year; if the roads & paths aren’t icy, we still use our bikes to go sightseeing & do the shopping with our trailer.

Hi All 👋 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking, “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).

This week’s Fan Of… is upside-down swans. It is not an uncommon site whilst cycling along the canal to see the back end of a swan sticking out of the water whilst they graze off the weed on the bottom

This is also my entry for Xinfumama’s Pull Up a Seat Challenge. Check out the seat below

Helix Park is an outdoor visitors centre just outside of Falkirk & forms part of the Kelpies attraction. The Park is a very open area with a kids playpark, café, plenty of bike parking & two very large ponds. Both ponds are frequented by a variety of water birds: Swans, ducks, coots, geese & gulls, to mention but a few.

    A Dreich Day by the Canal — Fan Of… #135 and Lens-Artists #175

Hi All 👋 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).

This week’s Fan Of… is a dreich day by the canal. Probably not everyone’s idea of a day to be out on the bikes, but we’ve decided we’re not just fair-weather cyclists.

Being out on our bikes exploring is our version of bliss for my wife & me, & so this is also my entry for this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge, hosted this week by Lindy Low LeCoq: Follow Your Bliss.

We don’t have a car & since we got our bikes earlier in the year, we have clocked up over 700km & have seen many local attractions & a plethora of nature that we would never have otherwise come across. We use the Forth & Clyde Canal a lot to get around & I have been able to capture many images that have featured extensively in my Fan Of… & Water Water Everywhere Challenges, as well as in many other photographic challenges.
