This week’s Fan Of… is a dawn walk with Lensy.
Owing to lockdown restrictions & a high workload, I haven’t been out with Snappy (DSLR) & Lensy (lensball) since my visit to Palacrigg Country Park on New Years Day. I got the chance to get out last week & was up at Fannyside Lochs, within Palacerigg Country Park for sunrise. I took full advantage of clear conditions & plenty of posts & stumps to put Lensy on & took about 250 shots in total (don’t worry, they’re not all with lensy). I started up at the Lochs & then followed numerous trails back towards home. I’ve split up the walk into 3 distinct phases: Fannyside Lochs (today’s post), walking through the park (pt 2) & some woodland pics (pt 3).

This weeks Fan Of… is the first daisy of the year, & where there’s one, more are sure to follow.
This is my first all natural, outside flower of the year, which hopefully means spring is properly here, & a lot more flowers will be starting to bloom soon. These first 3 shots were taken in the morning, in low light & a stiff breeze (so a bit blurry).
Hi All 👋 Woohoo100 episodes of Fan Of…? A huge thank you to those who follow me & check out my Fan Of… post on a weekly basis, & especially to those who join me regularly

This weeks Fan Of… is wing imprints in the snow.
A couple of weeks ago we a had over one foot of snow fall in about 24 hours. The next day when I was out getting some macro shots of icicles, I noticed some odd impressions in the snow. It turned out that these were impressions of pigeons wings from when they had landed & sunk unexpectedly into the deep snow & then taken off again. In the 1st & 5th shots you can see the impression of their bodies, with the wing pattern spreading out from that point
