This week’s Fan Of… is beach driftwood. I suppose this one is more drift-tree than driftwood

This week’s Fan Of… is our wee Smart Car, Grogu.
Grogu
We’ve been without a car for pretty much 12 years now & been happy with our choice. Through the use of our trolleys & our e-bikes & trailer, we’ve been able to manage shopping & travel quite happily. Recently though, the cost of hiring a car to do longer journeys has more than doubled, adding a substantial cost to any holidays. We have also pretty much visited all the places that are within a feasible day’s cycle once you take photo stops & breaks into account.

This week’s Fan Of… is Ayr Beach. Ayr & its beach sit on the west coast of Scotland, at the southern end of the Clyde Estuary. Across the water from Ayr is the Isle of Arran & beyond that, the Mull of Kintyre. The day we visited was sunny but cold & windy; a great day for a walk on the beach. Other photos from our visit will feature in other posts.

This week’s Fan Of… is breakfast in Prices Street Gardens in Edinburgh. Last week we had a brief visit to Edinburgh & decided to get breakfast out & visit the gardens. They were very quiet at 0700 in the morning! This first shot of Susan on one of the park benches is my post for Xingfumama’s Pull Up a Seat challenge.

This week’s Fan Of… is my 200th episode of my Fan Of posts??. Thank you so much for all your support with comments & likes, & especially to those who join in regularly or infrequently. Two supporters worth a mention are Elke of Eklastic & Geriatri’x‘. A lot of their Fan Of… posts are fascinating & well worth a visit, as well as their posts for other challenges.

This week’s Fan Of… is coffee by the canal (& a banana). It was a bit of a dreich day but Stormy & I decided to head to the canal anyway. Although not the best of conditions, the sun came out (kind of) occasionally to brighten the day. I was able to stop long enough to enjoy my coffee & a banana for a bit of energy for the return journey (mostly up hill).
