This week’s Fan Of… is a ride to Cumbernauld House Park in the snow. Having done a quick ride to the shops with my wife, Stormy (he’s my bike) & I headed out to the park for some photos.
I’m hitting a few challenges this week. Spring here is often blue skies, cold days & snow on the ground, even in March & sometimes April. This day at the park really typifies spring for me & is my post for Lens-Artists Challenge #241, hosted this week by Sofia. These were all taken with my cellphone for John’s Cellpic Sunday. There are benches for Xingfumama’s Pull up a Seat & blue skies for Hammad’s Weekend Sky challenge. And right at the end, a selfie for Monday Portrait.
A couple of changes to Stormy have made riding in the snow easier. Decent off road tyres with an aggressive tread pattern; the original tyres were more designed for roads.
The latest new edition were steel pedals with good teeth & strapless toe cages; these mean that there is no danger of wet feet slipping off the pedals 😃
Even with frost on the leafs, It wouldn’t be spring without some spring flowers…

With all the spring photos on wordpress lately I had to look really close … the snow looks almost like a carpet of flowers. I like the shadows of your bike – and your selfie.
