We’re starting off June with this shot of Spiers Wharf on the Forth & Clyde Canal. This section of the canal is on the northern side of Glasgow.

My Fan Of… this week is another rainy day on the bikes with some strong winds added for good measure. We’d promised ourselves a quick 10-mile ride to blow away some cobwebs, so we decided to head to the Forth & Clyde Canal. The day we chose started out rainy & windy but was forecast to clear up by 0900. Susan looked out & said the forecast was wrong, & it was going to rain all day; she was right.

We wanted to get out on the bikes, though & so got our wet weather gear and set out into 20mph winds & horizontal rain? & headed to the Canal.

We were a wee bit drookit by the time we got there

Hi All ๐Ÿ‘‹ Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking, “I’m a fan ofโ€ฆ” (see below for how-to).

This week’s Fan Of… is my 200th episode of my Fan Of posts??. Thank you so much for all your support with comments & likes, & especially to those who join in regularly or infrequently. Two supporters worth a mention are Elke of Eklastic & Geriatri’x‘. A lot of their Fan Of… posts are fascinating & well worth a visit, as well as their posts for other challenges.

I started the series in August 2019 whilst recuperating from a broken leg with R2D2, my Star Wars moon boot, right through to #199 which was Coffee by the Canal.

This week’s Fan Of… is coffee by the canal (& a banana). It was a bit of a dreich day but Stormy & I decided to head to the canal anyway. Although not the best of conditions, the sun came out (kind of) occasionally to brighten the day. I was able to stop long enough to enjoy my coffee & a banana for a bit of energy for the return journey (mostly up hill).
