Bird of the Day Aug 24 — Pigeon Out For a Walk
I was walking up the path near my house when this guy wandered out from the undergrowth. He looked at me and then just started walking up the path ahead of me. He kept looking round to see where I was and when he finally realised I was going the same way, flew up into a tree.

Fan Of… Daily Post #2
Hi all. Today’s Fan Of… is still with Star Wars, kind of; bear with me on this. I had my third appointment at the local fracture clinic today and, woohoomy cast is off. I have, instead, been fitted with a moon boot to allow me to start to put weight on my ankle and rebuild the strength in my right leg. The moon boot makes me look like I’ve got the lower leg of a Storm Trooper, and hence the Star Wars link.

Busy Bees
We have a large hibiscus hedge bordering one side of our garden which is in full bloom at the moment. The black berry (bramble — depending where you grew up) bush is nearing the end of it’s flowering stage, with the fruits starting to form. Both these are a huge magnet to bees and hover flies.

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge — Unique
Hi all, and thanks to Amy for this week’s challenge — Unique — and thanks also for your images of the temple. I thought long and hard about what it means to be unique until I turned my attention to nature and soon realised that unique is everywhere. My entry for this weeks challenge doesn’t stop on one particular thing, but I guess you could say is a celebration of the vast variety of “uniqueness” out there (and yes, I do like galleries).
