This week’s Fan Of… is the whisky blending kit by Chivas Regal. This kit has a miniature, bottle of Chivas, which is reason eanough to buy it in the first placeThere are then 5 other miniatures to blend to your hearts desire, a wee measuring cup, a “my blend bottle” and a glass pipette. There’s a blending guide on the inside of the box with a web address for further blending tips.
I made a fruity & creamy blend for my wife, but for me, a more smoky finish.

This week’s Fan Of… is a wee break & Happy New Year. Although the craziness of Christmas working in retail is mostly done, we now face the task of reconfiguring the store to go into spring; so more long days over the next couple of weeks. To that end, I’m taking a wee break from Fan Of…! The next post will be on Jan 11th.
As Hogmanay is only a few days away now, this seems the ideal opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year & best wishes for 2021.
SlĂ inte mhath & lang may yer lum reek! (Good health & long may your chimney smoke (may you live long))

Woohoo
Another week and another fantastic challenge from our moderators: Tina, Pattimoed, Amy and Leya. As this is a post of our own choice — I choose water. Having been a Royal Naval Officer for twenty years, my affinity for the blue wobbly stuff is quite high. On a sliding scale, the larger the body of water, the happier I get (so ocean = woohoo). I presently live away from the coast and always yearn to get back there. When travelling, I still get that feeling of excitement and anticipation from that first glimpse of the ocean as I did as a child. I’m never happier than walking along miles of beach with my wife; come sun, snow, and even horizontal rain (we live in Scotland after all).
