Bird of the Day Sep 14 — Bath Time for Starlings

As my wife and I were heading to the harbour in Arbroath, we could see a lot of water flying up in the air from a puddle that was hidden behind by some grass in the foreground.

As we got closer, we saw that it was a murmuration of starlings having a communal bath!!!

    A murmuration! I have not heard that for ages. What an interesting thing to see. Thanks for sharing these photos.

      You’re welcome, AnneI didn’t know that murmuration was the collective for starlings until I looked it up.
