And a pigeon! My question: What is he guarding, and who un-bolted the door???

    But what was the hole in the left wall? For shooting arrows? Breathing space for someone living inside the wall? Great pictures, they make me want to go there.

    The hole is a window of a small stone cell where a mad women was incarcerated.
