Hi all 😃 my entry for this weeks LAPC, set by Xenia at Tranature: Sanctuary.
Sanctuary to me is that place where all else is forgotten, a place for quiet contemplation or just enjoying the beauty of nature (usually with my trusty camera, Snappy). Ordinarily for me, this is near the coast, going for endless walks on the beach with my wife. Sometime’s however, there is that place that triggers great memories & a true sense of calm. These are some more shots from our time in Malibu 10 years ago, and are up in the Serra Hills. It was peaceful & quiet, without another soul in sight, a real sanctaury above the bustle of Malibu 😃

…and it wouldn’t be complete without She Sells Sanctuary by the Cult 😃
Such a pretty area, Jez, it’s easy to see why you like it so much. Great pictures!
Thank you so much, Sylvia 😊
Excellent post, and beautiful photos 😍

Yes, where all else is forgotten, and not a soul but you there – that’s the way it works for me too. Beautiful choices, Jez.
Thanks, Leya 😊
Beautiful series for sanctuary, Jez. Thank you for sharing the beauty of nature with us.
Thank you 😊
I can see why it is a sanctuary for you, Jez. Beautiful. I love that you gave your camera a name!!
Thank you 😊 I tend to name a lot of things, I don’t know why, it’s just something I’ve always done 🤔
Excellent. The tree with stream is a favorite.
A beautiful sanctuary indeed Jez. Isn’t it amazing that such moments last with us for such a long time?
Love your sanctuary and your pictures.
Thanks, Anita 😊
So serene! A great place to be 😃
Beautiful shots, especially the landscape images strike a chord with me. I especially like the shot of the tree near the stream. Nice!
Thanks, John 😊
Beautiful photographs Jez and I love the idea of sanctuary as a place of quiet contemplation ‘where all else is forgotten’. We are blessed when we find these places, carry the experience with us and revisit whenever we wish. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you and Susan are safe and well too 🤗🙏
