Hi, all 😃 My entry for Becky’s July TreeSquare. This is also my entry for Tina’s Lens-Artists Challenge #154 — One Photo Two Ways, July Processing Challenge by the Squirrel Chase, & Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Trees or Tree Parts.

…and the original; I think I prefer this to the square crop 🤔

But I’m not finished; I edited through a monochrome filter for Cee’s Black & White Challenge, then tried desaturating it for a colder feel as the original has a lot of warmth to it, owing to the depth of colour (it was about -1℃ after all) & finally trying a dramatic cool filter.

Breathtaking images, Jez!
Thanks, Amy 😊
Nice editing. I like dramatic cool pic.
Thanks, Danny 😊 One of my favourite basic filters 😃
Simply beautiful!
There is something very calming about sunsets/rises and the inclusion of trees. Wonderful.
Thanks, Suzanne 😊 & yes, a very peaceful setting 😃
Lovely 💜
Thank you 😊
They’re all beautiful, Jez.
Thanks, Karen 😊
I love the original, but the square version has the edge for me. It could be that the tree is now the focus of the image and I love scraggly trees in silhouette.
Think I like the first one best
All great. Photos are more successful when the feature is Off Centre,so says my wife.
Aaah, the good old rule of 3 😃
Wow!
Pat
Glorious
Thanks, Leya 😃
This is a stunning photo. I’m so glad you played around with it. 😀
Thanks, Cee 😃
wow, what a post – all four of us have been spoilt. You are right though my Squareness doesn’t add to the photograph on this occasion!
Thanks, Becky 😊
It’s such a serene image. The different treatments give it different moods.
Great shot!!
Thanks, Ramya 😊
Fabulous trees Jez 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Brian 😊
Lovely landscape Jez – was the opening image the original? Funny to see a bare tree as it’s so lush and green here right now. You must post an image of the tree when all of the foliage comes in!
Thanks, Tina 😊 Yes, the featured image was the original. The shot was taken in January, hence the lack of foliage; I’ll need to get back up there again soon.
