Yesterday, Becky led the way with a yarn bombed tree; this reminded me of a “yarn bombed” bench at The Glasgow Botanic Gardens. My justification for including this in TreeSquares is as follows — the bench is made of wood (comes from a tree), it’s almost in the shade of some trees, which are behind it but can’t really be seen š …& it’s square š

I wonder if you know the story behind this? The bench is dressed every year in memory of artist Rita McGurn who lived nearby. Her daughter sat on this bench around the time her mother died and created this in her memory. See –

Thanks so much for the info, Anabel š
Gosh. That’s taking yarn bombing to a new level.
It made the wood a bit more comfortable; does take a while to dry out when it rains, so a few soggy butts š¤£

Superb so clever, and no justification needed. I did say they didn’t have to be real!
Thanks, Becky
