Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).
This week’s Fan Of… is rescued a weary bee.
Whilst out in the garden collecting in the washing, my wife & I noticed a bee on the ground barely moving. We had read about people giving bees a mixture of sugar & water to perk them up, so I decided to give it a go. I made a small amount of sugary water & poured it onto the ground right next to the bee.

It shuffled its way across to the liquid & started drinking.
After a short while, it wandered around on the ground examining the fallen petals from the hebe above, before heading back to the sugary solution.

It had another quick drink & then took off & disappeared into the hedge 😃 So the sugar & water mix really does work & revitalises tired bees to fly another day 😊

Yay! It was so great to see it going from close to death to then flying off on its wee bee business. Amazing photos, Sweetie. 😍

Well done, Jez! .- I have a bee on offer, too, although I think I was bit irreverent, I think: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/08/02/im-a-fan-of-bees-rolled-in-flour/

My husband is always rescuing small insects! He hovers around spider webs in the house and scoops up wasps from the pool.
