Hi all 😁 Feel free to join in this weekly challenge whenever you find yourself thinking, “I’m a fan of…” (see below for how-to).
This weeks Fan Of… is canal bridges. These tend to be small in extent but are vital to keep both road & canal traffic flowing. This is aslo my entry for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Bridges.

Bridge, aquaduct or canal??? This raised section of canal carries the Union Canal as it exits the Roughcastle Tunnel to join the Falkirk Wheel for its decent to the Forth & Clyde Canal. My thoughts are that it is a bridge that carrys water, & is therefore an aquaduct 😃

Great photos Jez! We don’t have that in our area!
We’re lucky to live near the canals 😃
You are indeed
I love all bridges, so a great post, Jez. And I’m glad you included the amazing Falkirk Wheel. I’ve logon green this week: https://travelwithintent.com/2022/03/22/im-a-fan-of-living-walls-london/
Bridges! I love them all 😍
That last one looks really unique – reminds me of cotton being threaded through the eyes of needles.
