Hi all 😃 My entry for this weeks challenge, set by Anne from Slow Shutter Speed: Local Vistas.
These are our bikes, Stormy (mine) & Kali (Susan’s). These are our only mode of transportation; as well as doing all our shopping with them (yes, we have a trailer for them), we also go sightseeing with them.

The Kelpies sit at the Forth end of the canal.
The Forth Estuary has expansive views.

There are many old houses…

…and plenty of wildlife.

The surrounding hills have many great views over the Forth/Clyde Valley…

…and running through the valley is the Forth & Clyde Canal, linking the east & west coasts of Scotland 🏴

Our wee pals are usually along for the ride…

…seeing all there is to see, like this big roman centurion’s head.

Beautiful surroundings.
Thanks, Rupali 😊
Such beauty 👍 Great photos Jez… so much greeneries!
Thanks, Teresa 😊
What beautiful local Vistas you have. They are so beautifully photographed and I’m glad lensy was there too.
Thank you so much, Anne 😊
Great photos! Looks like there’s a lot of amazing places to see there. I love the greenery, bridges, and castles. I wish we could get around on bikes here, but you’ve seen what Southern California looks like! 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 I used to see a lot of cyclists on the PCH, but I’d don’t think I’d like to try it 😩
Oh, yes—I’ve seen them on PCH, especially along the Big Sur. That’s crazy. And we don’t have bike trails in town, which is a shame.
We have quite a few bike routes around here & the Canal linking Glasgow to Edinburgh & the Forth is one of our National Cycle Routes 😃
Wow. National Cycle Route…that would be cool to have here!
You live in a beautiful area Jez! Beautiful series of photos!
Thank you so much, Aletta 😊
Well now you’re just showing off Jez!!! Beautiful vistas all. I remember at some point a while back you mentioned doing everything by bike but I’d forgotten. That is so terrific!
Thanks, Tina 😊
Wowww. Great series. What a beautiful area and beautiful photos. Love the Lensy’s, as always.
Thanks, John 😊
What a great ride Jez. Thanks for letting me pillion along 😂
I wondered why I was struggling on the hills 🤣
I did wonder why you let Susan get ahead so far 😂
🤣🤣🤣
